“Healthcare-Associated Infections
A Preventable Epedemic”
- Dr. Betsy Mc Caughey. Chairman. RID.( Reduce Infection Deaths).
The correct level of Hand Hygiene Compliance is recognized as one of the key
methods of prevention in terms of reducing the incidence of HCAIs.
At present there is no consistent Measurement Method available or agreed for use
in Healthcare Institutions, and under these circumstances it is almost
impossible to manage accurately the levels of Hand Hygiene Compliance being
achieved across facilities.
Consequently it is also very difficult to assign Accountability to Staff and
Management as the tools required to monitor and quantify hand hygiene activities
24 hours per day are not available to them.
Hymed Systems has focused on this problem and delivered a unique system to
monitor and manage Hand Hygiene Compliance facility wide providing:-
-
A method for wirelessly monitoring Hand Hygiene Compliance.
-
Real Time Audit (Daily/every 24 hours/Weekly /Monthly/Annually).
-
Availability throughout the entire Healthcare Facility.
